Like the fine drops of water on the tips of the palm fronds, so are you infinitesimally small, seemingly one of many, inconsequential. It is easy to think that what you do does not make a difference, a wave, and a priority to attend to on a global level. Think not as you would on a daily basis. Think as a drop in a pond. As it dropped, it caused much water movement, rippling outwards in all directions in order only to be accommodated and acclimated into the whole. But was it lost in the whole? Lost in the grand soup? No, it always does and always will hold a living, vibrating memory of where it has been and what it has done. So, every water droplet in that pond literally vibrates, buzzing its existence, so actually the entire pond is a symphony of vibration. As the water flows in a new experience, each droplet is on its own sensational voyage of experience, cataloguing its version while also experiencing as the collective whole. So are we as human beings. The illusion that is so strong is that each of us is an individual, accruing individual experience, contributing our individuality to the collective. But do we realize that we are simultaneously on a collective journey of experience; an inseparable holistic, holographic experience that cannot occur on an individual level? It can only occur due to our wholeness. We individuals do not constitute parts of a whole. We are the whole and hold that whole within us at every moment. We must remember this as we walk through life. The Native Americans speak of impeccability – being ethical on all levels. Yes, this is because to do injustice to “another” is to do injustice to “ourselves”, for we are the whole. The same applies to humanity and the planet. We are the planet. The trees, animals, air and soil are also us and we must learn to be impeccable on that level as well. We must learn to honor all aspects of ourselves. When one of us leaves this existence and “dies”, the whole still holds a living, vibrating song of that person. So, we as a planet continue our experience of existence with the vibration of the person who has journeyed to another plane – but whose consciousness remains with us still. We can be thankful to be who we are, whole beings due to that person. We would be something else had he not been with us, because we are a whole, experiencing itself on different levels, each “one” of aspect, each “one” of us containing the all and us. So, when we say “all of us”, we say “I”.
