This month we’ve added 1 “renewed” and 3 completely NEW MODELS to our Pinhole Glasses  line. That makes a total of 9 models to choose from.

The emphasis on our new models is a more stylish look—whether the glasses are “Modern Design” (with acrylic lenses and a mirror finish) or “Traditional Design” (classic pinhole glasses).

Here’s a bit of info about each one:

·         Tortolla: This is a “mirror finish” Modern Design Pinhole Glasses.  The Tortolla fits average adult heads. Note that the Tobago, which has been available since early 2009, is similar to the Tortolla, but the Tobago is usually worn by women.

·         New Bonaire: Introduced in the past 1-2 months, the “new” Bonaire—a Traditional Design— fits adults with small heads and it fits kids. The Bonaire is available in light beige.

·         Saba:  This is a new Traditional design, but with stylish a “wraparound” temple. The Saba fits average adult heads. It is available in a shiny black finish.

·         Nevis is a new Traditional design, in a shiny black finish. The Nevis has more rounded lenses and fits average adult heads.

Back Jack Chairs—ideas for use:

Some ideas/applications for using your Back Jack Chair are:

What do I mean?

This subject may sound technical—but actually it isn’t.  If you know what Excel® is please skip the next paragraph.

For those of you not familiar with Excel® it’s software that allows you to arrange information in rows and columns and to perform all sorts of operations, including arithmetical and accounting operations on the information.  (Excel® can also be used to organize text in lots of neat ways, but that’s another subject.) Among its many uses, Excel® is used vey widely for accounting, budgeting, and general planning—and that’s where I lead into spirituality. Well, the day-to-day activities of running a business or even organizing your household can cause quite a bit of stress. Even the most disciplined among us can easily get overwhelmed by the complexity of the number of choices and variables we’re faced with. Frequently, not having even a basic grasp on our finances can yield this distress.  Having some sort of plan where we can “see a larger picture” frequently helps.

There are many ways to set up family and business budgets.  Clearly, a useful budget or plan can be a very valuable tool. My purpose here is NOT to cover  methods of setting these up.  Suffice it to say that a balance must be struck between investing too much detail and work in setting up the plan, versus quickly slapping together a tool which has little value.

I’ve found that setting up an effective Excel® budget—whether I’m using a simple arrangement or a complex mutli-tabbed/multi-linked spreadsheet—gives me a sense of grounding and control. I’ve felt  this happen again and again, in business environments as well as in organizing my own home expenses.

As long as the balance I mentioned above has been struck, Excel can serve as a spiritual tool! I’ve found that it helps me feel grounded in much the same way as I’ve felt using more “conventional” spiritual methods, such as meditation, yoga, and prayer.

It’s not so complicated—so here’s a description of the chairs and some recommendations as to what chair’s right for you:

There are 3 types of Back Jack chairs and each chair type is available in two fabric types (more about fabrics in a moment):

1.       “Original”—This is also the “regular” size:  14 in. wide x 21 in. tall x 22 in. deep. The original is the most economical chair and was the “first” Back Jack Chair marketed about 15+ years ago. Points to consider:

·         Stays “open” once it’s built — i.e. can only be stacked (for folding, see “Folding”)

·         Most economical chair

·         Some people prefer a bigger chair (see “Extra Large”)

2.       “Folding” —The same size as “Original”, but this chair can be folded. It is excellent if you are tight for storage space or if you have to move around and/or travel with the chair such as by car or by plane.  Point’s to consider:

·         Folds to size about 14 in. wide x 21 in. tall x 3.5 in. deep  — or it can be left unfolded, identical in size to “Original”.

·         More expensive than “Original”

·         Only available in regular size (see “Extra Large”)

3.       “Extra Large” —This is the “large” size: 16.5 in. wide x 23 in. tall x 22 in. deep.  Points to consider:

·         Stays “open” once it’s built, like “Original” — i.e. can only be stacked (for folding, see “Folding”)

·         More expensive than “Original”

Regarding the 2 fabrics, there are: “cotton duck” and “tuff duck”.

·         Cotton duck is the traditional heavy cotton duck fabric. It is generally more economical and  available in 9 colors. It can only be spot-cleaned on the chair frame. It is generally. Some of our customers prefer the cotton duck because of its softer feel.

·         Tuff duck was introduced about 3 years ago. It is a polyester fabric, hand washable, and will sustain rougher use, indoors and outdoors, compared to the cotton duck. Its special coating also makes it much more resistant to stains. It is available in 3-4 colors.

Keep in mind that at BodyMindWisdom.com all of the BackJack chair types and all of the fabrics are stocked. So you only have to do is decide which chair is right for you.

·         What would Mom really want? Let’s face it—not all Mom’s love cookbooks or incense or flowers…  If you give some personal thought to the gift, it will make it all the more meaningful for Mom.

·         Buying a gift for Mom doesn’t mean you have to put out a lot of money. If you have chosen something a bit above your budget, maybe you can share purchasing a gift for Mom with others in the family.  Be creative that way, too.

·         If you’re ordering on line, make sure you leave enough time. Most on-line purchases usually take at least a day to be processed. Then, assuming the merchandise is in stock, shipping itself can take anywhere from 2  to 6 business days, depending on where the shipper is.  Ordering on line at least a week in advance is certainly not too early!

·         If you do become short on time, consider an electronic gift. This ideas is useful if Mom would like an electronic flexible gift such as music or an ebook. Another even more flexible gift is an electronic gift certificate.  In either case, an electronic gift is virtually immediate!
